The Art of a Successful Journey...

Art Furtney wakes up early each day, anxious to see what’s in store for the next 24 hours. He’s one of those people who views life as a melting pot of positive experiences, a constant journey of sorts. Art likes unraveling challenges at the seams, accomplishing goals as quickly and efficiently as possible while always seeking new and better ways to complete the task at hand.

A retired Marine, Art has been helping families with their real estate needs for the past twenty years. Just as in the Marines, the team motto prevails in Art, and he is continually reaching for ways his team can better serve clients. Art is an Accredited Buyer Representative, a Certified Residential Specialist, and a Graduate of Realtors Institute.

Recognized as the top real estate agent in Onslow County for the past 20 years, Art was inducted into the CENTURY 21 International Hall of Fame in 1992. Realizing the importance of education Art takes advantage of the many training opportunities offered to the team.

A Team Approach at Home and at Work...

The family shared enthusiasm and team approach to life can, perhaps, be attributed to Art’s Marine Corps background. For 25 years, he saw the importance of working in tandem with another person, or maybe an entire company, to reach goals. Entering the service as a Private, Art steadily advanced to the rank of Major before retiring in 1979. “My service career taught me that working long hours and handling three or four projects at a time isn’t impossible to do, and do well, if you’re focused,” Art says.

When Jacksonville's military personnel work with Art, they team up with someone who understands their unique situations when buying or selling a home. As a real estate professional, Art maintains the standards he learned in the Corps — diligence, discipline, dignity and pride in his work — and has applied them to build a reputation since 1979 as a consummate professional.

An Abundance of Expertise

The approach Art uses is simple:
He serves as a counselor and consultant who provides accurate and up-to-date information and advice, allowing you to make educated decisions. If you are selling a home in the Greater Onslow area, Art’s innovative marketing skills combined with the powerful national presence of CENTURY 21 provide maximum exposure for your property. If you’re buying, his expert knowledge of local neighborhoods will help you find a home that reflects your personal style and financial goals.

Art's philosophy to ensure your satisfsaction:
“Real estate is the most significant financial possession most families seek to own. The enormous responsibility of having a role in your life and fortune is the norm for a real estate agent. I owe you the best service I can possibly give.”
